Disney College Program :)

Today I had my interview for the Disney College Program. I did so much research on what questions will be asked, how long the interview is, how the process is... So much research.
So I thought I would tell how my experience was and what questions were asked for me!

First, you apply on the website (http://cp.disneycareers.com/en/default/). There is an "Apply Now" button up in the top right hand corner. It's a very easy application. You just fill out basic questions about yourself. If everything is good with your application, you will receive an email asking you to set up your interviews. You will have two interviews. The first interview is your web-based interview- I got this email within the hour of completing the initial application. This is just like any application for a job. The Web-based interview consists of multiple choice and agree/disagree questions. It's fairly simple. Just BE HONEST when you answer these questions.
Once you are done with this and you meet all criteria based on the web interview, you will receive another e-mail telling you to set up your phone interview.

My phone interview went very well! First the interviewer made sure I wanted the Florida College Program. Then she asked me if my school was correct and where I lived is correct. Simple questions just to make sure the information they have is all right.
Here are some of the questions I got asked;

  • How will this program help you professionally?
  • Why do you want to work for Disney?
  • Why did you apply for the Disney College Program?
  • Have you ever visited Disney World?
  • Have you ever lived in a dorm or with other people other than your family members?
  • Are you comfortable being with 1-7 other roommates?
  • What daily tasks do or did you have with your work experience?
She then talked a lot about the different Roles. On my application, I chose a lot of different Roles that interested me.

  • What are you top choices for roles?
  • Tell me about a time that a customer was being difficult and how did you handle the situation?
  • Tell me about a time that there was an emergency at work, and how did you handle the situation?
  • How would you handle working outside for long periods of time while standing up?
  • Would you be okay with making or serving food?
  • If a little girl was scared or nervous about getting dressed up (Bippity Boppity Boutique), How would you react? What would you do in this situation?
  • How do you feel about talking in front of groups of people?
  • Would you be okay with either a custodial role or a housekeeping role? --She then explained to me what the difference was and told me a little bit about both.
  • Would you be interested in a lifeguard position? Would you be able to lift up a person over 100 lbs out of the water if they needed help?
  • If you were working at the front gate, how would you make a person feel special when you only see them for a few seconds?
  • Some of our retail jobs require you pick up stock that is up to 40 lbs. Would that be a problem for you?
A lot of the questions asked were about the different roles and how I think I could see myself in them.
My interview took about 20-25 minutes.

 UPDATE
I got accepted into the Disney College Program, but I was in New York and didn't check my e-mail regularly so I couldn't accept the offer. So I am going to try for next Spring!

#NYCBigBold VoxBox

I got my first Influenster VoxBox!

First of all... if you have never heard of Influenster, it is an amazing community. You can test full size products for free! (Who doesn't like free??) All you have to do is give your opinion about the products on your social media account. It's very easy and super exciting to get your VoxBox!

I got the #NYCBigBold VoxBox! It came with the NYC Big Bold Angel Lash Mascara and the NYC Big Bold and Precise Felt Tip Liner.
A little bit about me and my makeup routine... I usually put on eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, and maybe something on my face or lips. Somewhat minimal. Also, I hate putting on Liquid eyeliner. I can never get the line straight and I always mess up. I end up just giving up on it because I can never get it right. So when I received this box, I was skeptical about how the eye liner was going to work.. Now, this isn't like normal liquid eyeliner. It looks a little bit like a marker. I have to say, I was very surprised by how easy this eyeliner was to swipe on. I got a straight line across the top of my eyelid the first time I tried using this eyeliner. I am very happy with this eyeliner! I've used it several days and I am still amazed by how easy it is to use. Using this eyeliner with the Big Bold Angel Lash Mascara just made a beautiful look.-Now I know why these products are both called "Big Bold". The mascara did not clump like a lot of mascaras do. To me, this mascara made my eyelashes look huge.
I'm very happy with both of these products!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
